Auto insurance company Allstate launched the second annual “Quotes for Education” program last August 17, collaborating with United Negro College Fund to raise $100, 000 in scholarship funds to financially assist African-American students. This is to allay the problem that over 2/3 of African-American students who, according to statistics, drop out of college due to financial problems. The insurance company would donate $5 to the United Negro College Fund for each auto insurance quotes completed from August 15 to September 30, 2010 as part of the fund-raising program.
