• Allstate Launches Fund-Raising Program to Help African-American Students

  Auto insurance company Allstate launched the second annual “Quotes for Education” program last August 17, collaborating with United Negro College Fund to raise $100, 000 in scholarship funds to financially assist African-American students. This is to allay the problem that over 2/3 of African-American students who, according to statistics, drop out of college due to financial problems. The insurance company would donate $5 to the United Negro College Fund for each auto insurance quotes completed from August 15 to September 30, 2010 as part of the fund-raising program. • Auto Insurer Survey shows that American Drivers Still Positive About Driving

  A recent survey shows that American motorists and car owners still have a generally positive outlook on driving, and they still consider that their cities to be “drivable” even when the daily commute is a troublesome thing to live with everyday.   California Casualty Insurance continues to be one of the top insurance companies in its county for the eighth time in over a decade.   State Farm Insurance is releasing a mobile tool that would solve the problem of distracted driving due to text messaging on one’s cellphone. This new application, called the new “On the Move” widget, would be made available today (August 23rd) available and free for all Android smartphone users. • Poll shows Washington Drivers Pro No-Texting Law

  Despite the number of drivers in the Washington area who text message while they are driving have increased, a majority of them support the new no-texting law, according to a recent poll made in the area. The PEMCO Insurance poll showed that over 83% of drivers who had been surveyed are in favour of the new law, or even opt that the fine of being caught text messaging while driving should increase.   A recent research shows that even the differences between man and woman are present even in the field of auto insurance.   This is a fair warning to out-of-state drivers who are driving in California: don’t get into any auto accidents otherwise you would be fined with crash-tax bills which could cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
