    The Vermont Department of Financial Registration released a report this Tuesday, stating that improper handling of auto insurance claims by The Hartford has called for a fine and restitution of about $158K, following an investigation by the regulating body. According to the report published by DFR, The Hartford has been found to be improperly evaluating and underpaying for 77 cases of total-loss auto insurance claims between the period of 2009 and 2011.
