There are some insurance companies that offer cheaper rates for teens who have proven that they will not be a liability to the company. This can be done through showing them documents that will prove this fact. You can show them that you are a responsible driver by showing them your driving records, certificates of participation in safe driving programs and sometimes you can even give them the records of your school grades just to make the point. The more documents and evidences that you pull out, the more the insurance companies can trust you to make the right decisions in the road.

Teens are said to be inexperienced, reckless and impatient. This is the reason why when they are assessed in order to get car insurance they are said to be riskier and car insurance companies give them more expensive insurance. These traits are not the only thing that could back up the reason why insurance companies give teens more expensive rates. Statistically speaking, teens are also said to be involved with more car related accidents than any other age group.

Teens are people who get drunk and then drive are prone to accidents. Teens are also prone to speed and recklessness. These traits are not the only things that could back up the reason why insurance companies give teens more expensive rates. Statistically speaking, teens are also said to be involved with more car related accidents than any other age group. More than 400,000 teen motorists get injured because of driving accidents and there are more than 5,000 teen deaths every year.

The age factor does not really matter to insurance companies as much as statistic.  Statistics are reliable and insurance companies tend to believe them. This does not mean that car insurance should always be expensive for driving teens. There are a variety of ways for a teen to get car insurance that costs less.

Statistics may be reliable but it does not necessarily mean that you follow the trend. People must understand that statistics deals with probabilities. Probabilities do not really show that a person will actually get into an accident. It simply shows the trend.

The point here is that, if you want to get cheaper car insurance for your teen driver, then you should prove that you are capable and responsible. You should prove that you are not part of the statistics that tells them that you will be part of an accident. You should prove that you are the exception and not the rule.
