Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage, are two coverages that can either be purchased or added to a policy holder’s car insurance policy, but most of the time it is required by the law to have both. If a policy holder have Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist coverage in his/her car insurance policy, and in case he/she got involved with an accident like hit and run type of accident, and the motorist at fault is either uninsured of in case insured only has minimal amount of coverage, because of Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage, the policy holder’s and all his/her passenger’s medical expenses will be covered by these coverages.

These three coverages are required mostly by every state, but these aren’t the only coverages that are available and can be included in a car insurance policy. And also, although these are the mostly required coverage in every state, these coverages have different minimum costs depending on what the state law requires.
