If Collision Coverage insures a policy holder’s car from damages that are incurred from accidents that involve all sorts of collision related situation, Comprehensive Coverage will insure a policy holder’s car from damages that may be incurred from all causes, other that collision, such as fire, flood, other natural calamity, vandalism, hitting or being hit by an animal, or by falling objects. Comprehensive coverage also insures the policy holder’s car from theft, either of the car itself or its parts.

Collision coverage and Comprehensive Coverage are purchased or optionally added to a policy holder’s car insurance policy separately or together.
