For you to get the full car insurance coverage, policyholder would have to have his/her name on the title. If the car is yours the there is no problem but when you are planning to buy a car for a friend or an acquaintance the problem arises. In this situation, you have two options. First, you can either transfer the title to your friend, which is a rather simple procedure that requires a notary public and a possible trip to DMV. This is our first option. The second one is to include the name of the person whom you bought the car for as an additional driver. If you are the primary policyholder on the insurance, your friend will also be insured as long as he/she is included in your policy.
