Combating the tough times in recent years, the Chevrolet Corvette is yet again back to rock the market with 2014 Corvette C7, the first overhaul of the model in the last nine years. It incorporates the next generation V8 engine and a small block, LT1, which blends plenty of advanced technologies into a single package, taking drivers from 0 to 60 in less than almost four seconds. However, for ED Welburn, GM, Chief Design, Corvette is much more than merely a sports car with advanced features. It is an emotion, a passion; “a vehicle that is larger than life.”

Named as Stingray, the latest Corvette model presents a stunning design, which perfectly embodies the true spirits of an American sports car. Like any other performance vehicle in America, the engine is the focal point of the all new Corvette C7, which combines a 6.2 liter LT1 V8 engine powered by direct injection, active fuel management, and changing valve timing for delivering 450 lb-ft of torque and 450 horsepower.

In terms of being eco-friendly, Corvette C7 Stingray also guarantees to be remarkably fuel efficient in the entire life history of the model. The advanced fuel efficiency features are stuffed into an aluminum frame, which is almost 99 lbs lighter than the earlier model, C6. At the same time, it is also 57% stronger, with a perfect 50/50 weight distribution proportion front to rear. The body is mostly made of fiberglass, as per Chevrolet Corvette tradition, the door panels, roof and hood are made of carbon fiber, which makes them little lighter. While the door panels make the vehicle to be recognized instantly as Corvette, with its short rear deck and long hood, the design is a little too fussy as compared to the traditional cleaner lines of the Vette.

Chevrolet offers two distinct seat types the all new Corvette C7 Stingray – Competition Sport and Labeled GT – which are both made around light-weight magnesium frames. The cockpit of Stingray features a stunning wraparound design, which is built in Nappa leather with carbon fiber and aluminum trims. With unique features and higher performance standards, it is expected that Chevrolet 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray will make it successfully into the world of first class sports car.
