Automakers to Make a Big Splash during Detroit Show 2014

If speculations surrounding one of the biggest auto events in the world, Detroit Show are to be believed, prominent automakers such as Ford are all set to make a spectacular entry this year. This is quite natural given the dream run for the auto industry in 2013 in the wake of the dismal recession period. During the Auto Show Ford is going to display their 2015 F-150, redesigned to boot. Presently this is the bestselling car in US and now it comes with more aluminum for weight, redesigned interior and maybe even a choice of new engine for the buyers.

For other brands however sporty cars is going to be the in thing. Chevrolet will come with its high performing Corvette Z06, Lexus its sporty offering with V8 delivering 460 hp, and BMW with M3, M4 redesigned cars. Honda wants to unveil its 2015 Fit for practical buyers. This redesigned model is going to be larger compared to their existing model, which it is all set to replace.

Acura comes with sporty sedan 2015 TLX, a prototype. Its production version will be for sale in 2014 second half. TLX is all set to become the replacement to TL sedan from Acura. Also, this year the company is going to discontinue their sporty TLX vehicles. All-improved TLX comes with direct injection two new gasoline engines, all wheels/front-wheel drive, and new transmission. Another interesting entry is going to be from Audi with its compact two-door crossover concept, which comes with plug-in power train.

Experts believe that this offering from Audi is a precursor to future models including Q1, which the carmakers are going to produce in 2016. The 2-series 2014 Coupe from BMW will replace their existing 1-series Coupe. Also available from them will be 228i having I-4 producing 240 hp and 335i having I-6 producing 322 hp. Besides this, BMW is also going to display their 2015 M4, high performing version belonging to 4-series Coupe along with 2015 M3 from 3-series sedans.

Cadillac is to bring their ATS compact coupe version launched during 2012 at the Auto Show Detroit. ATS2015 Coupe is all for competition with 4-series from BMW and C- class Coupe from Mercedes-Benz. It is all set to introduce cutting-edge engineering technology superior to existing sedans. GMC is going to unveil midsized 2015 Canyon pickup at the Auto Show following Chevrolet’s sibling Colorado in the month of November.
